While working with Whoop De Doo at the 2022 Fort Mason Center for Arts and Culture Halloween Show, I was asked to showcase a viking warrior costume of my own design.
Whoop De Doo

Medium: Costume design; Feathering, face paint, fabric, secondhand objects.
Making: My costume design process began with extensive historical research into viking women’s styles and apparel. Next, I collected the second-hand objects and materials that formed my viking warrior costume. The finished result is dark, shapely design, backed with feather, and accentuated by contrasting, patterned, face makeup.
Impact: The event, as well as my showcase, was televised live in the local San Francisco Area as well as re-televised on PBS.
