In 2021, I was recruited by the University of San Francisco Museum Studies program to assist in research, planning, and designing for phase one of creating the USF Sports Hall of Fame displayed in the War Memorial Gym at the Sobrato Center.

USF Sports Hall of Fame

Year: 2021–2022

Medium: Exhibition design; three timeline walls, eleven in-wall cases, and three standalone cases.

Conception: I was brought onto this project after being recommended by a faculty member in the University of San Francisco Art + Architecture Department.

Making: My role in this project included research and organization, designing and installation, and communing between buyers, collectors, and installation leads. Upon completion of phase one, we had designed and installed three timeline walls, eleven in-wall cases, and three standalone cases.

Impact: The project aims to celebrate the recently-passed away Bill Russell, a civil rights advocate who was largely believed to be one of the best basketball players of all time. On January 5, 2023, USF showcased the Sports Hall of Fame in a nationally televised game with rival team, Gonzaga, to honor the player-turned-coach and his legacy. Russell, who began as a star player at the University of San Francisco with a sports scholarship, had a fraught relationship with the university due to their unfair treatment of him which forced him to discontinue pursuing his degree, despite having just one year left in the program.
